Repertoire for the Choristers’ Challenge
The Choristers’ Challenge Repertoire for 2015-2016 continues the work begun in preparation for the Third Edition of the Roman Missal in Advent, 2011. At that time, Archbishop George Lucas provided the Archdiocese of Omaha with a core repertoire to assist us through this transition. Although this transition period has ended, the work of liturgical renewal continues. Therefore, the Chorister’s Challenge serves to build on the liturgical formation provided by Archbishop Lucas and encouraged by Fr. Dan Andrews, our pastor.
The repertoire consists of:
- Mass ordinaries
- Roman Missal Mass
- Mass in Honor of Saint Cecilia by David Hurd
- Missa Simplex by Richard Proulx
- Mass of the Angels by Richard J. Clark
- Missa pro editione tertia by Christopher Mueller
- Jubilate Deo Mass
- Missa de Angelis
- Requiem Mass
- Catholic Hymns in Latin
- Antiphons composed by Michael McCabe for the Archdiocese of Omaha
- Propers
- in English by Fr. Samuel Weber
- in Spanish using Archdiocese of Omaha Psalm Tones
