Sacred Heart Musicians had a fantastic trip on Sunday, October 9, 2016. We visited the Carmel of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Valparaiso. While there, we prayed the office of None with the Sisters, and we met with Sister Maria at the turn (where they receive written and verbal prayer requests).
Then, we traveled to Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton. While there, we sang for the seminarians, and prayed Vespers and Benediction with them. After prayer, we ate supper with several of the seminarians.
Throughout the day, the prayers were almost entirely in Latin, with lots of silence. I pray that God will use this experience to spark a desire in the hearts of the children to consider the religious life.
